Sarah Grace

Sarah Grace

Assistant Head

Leadership Profile

Hi, I am Sarah, one of the Assistant Heads at Mayfield.  Prior to joining Mayfield, I went to Marjons University where I gained my PGCE and a Masters in Professional Development.  I joined the Mayfield Team in 2006, after teaching in a mainstream primary school in Plymouth .  During my time at the school my role has evolved and many opportunities have arisen for me.  I began as a full time class teacher and the department lead for KS1&2 with curriculum responsibility for English and Maths.  In September 2015, I was given the opportunity of covering the maternity leave of the Assistant Head post at Chestnut.  This brought me to my current post of Assistant Head working across the sites of Mayfield School and the Chestnut Centre.  Anyone who knows me, knows I love to be involved in many aspects of education and support, so in addition to my role in school, I also lead the Mayfield side of the Outreach Support for SEND pupils within mainstream schools, focusing on access to learning.

In my spare time I love to keep fit and you will often see me pounding the streets somewhere around the bay.
